The new Miller Vi-Go Ladder Climbing Safety System that provides continuous fall protection when climbing fixed ladders, was awarded the 2009 Plant Engineering Magazine’s Product of the Year Silver Award. New product innovations are voted on each year by the readers of the magazine. This is the most coveted new product award in manufacturing, and a testimony to a product's long-term success.

Product of the Year finalists were published in the November issue of Plant Engineering, and reviewed by a panel of industry experts. An electronic ballot allowed readers to vote for their top five product choices.

While some products submitted into the competition reflect current sophisticated, high-tech innovation, others represent pure simplicity of design. All of the award-winning products were recognized for having an innovative impact on plant engineering operations, production or safety.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners are announced in each of 16 categories, plus a Grand Award winner.

Miller Training recently added a nacelle simulator to the world-class Training Center located in Franklin, PA. The nacelle simulator is the only training simulator available for hands-on nacelle and hub training in the United States.

Experienced instructors provide rescue training from various locations - including over the side of the nacelle; over the side of the hub; and inside the hub.
